UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs Bigfoot

By MMA Fights

UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs Bigfoot will take place in Brisbane, Australia on December 7th , and due to the extreme time zone difference it will air in prime time hours in North America. A great free card will take place in what is also sure tot be an entertaining one. Some recent TUF contenders,  some veterans, and some up and comers will square off in one of the best fight nights to date.

Dylan Andrew vs Clint Hestor

In a battle of two of the most talented fighters from the Jones vs Sonnen TUF series, Hestor will take on Andrews. Dylan Andrews is the older and more experienced fighter, and this showed in his bouts throughout the season. Hestor has shown he has elite level skills, but could not quite put it all together during the show. I expect now that he has had more time to train with top level guys that his skill will show that much more. I see Clint Hestor grinding out Andrews and eventually getting a TKO from top position.

Mauricio Shogun Rua vs James Te Huna

Two of the toughest men in the sport will be featured in the co-main event. These two combined have taken some of the most punishment any fighters in the UFC have taken. They have both proven to be very tough and durable. Shogun’s experience should take over this fight. James Te Huna is a good fighter but does not have near the level of experience Shogun does. Although his only recent losses come to top contenders, I do not forsee Te Huna winning this fight. I would bet Shogun can get a W with a decision victory and even possibly a late submission finish.

Mark Hunt vs Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva

These two very large men will enter the octagon for the main event of the evening. I expect this to be Hunt’s striking vs Bigfoots takedown abillity. This will be the big question in the fight, because if Bigfoot can get Hunt down and hold him down he will have no problem winning this fight. Hunt is known to tire and has not looked good on bottom in recent matches. Hunt is the much better striker, so if he can keep it standing it looks like a win for him. I am better on the latter happening, with Hunt scoring an early KO victory. Bigfoot got by a cocky Overeem, but I don’t expect him to get by the former K1 Champion Mark Hunt.

Take Hunt at +120 (5Dimes)
